Better World Book Bin
The Better World Book Bin is located in the parking lot of the Porter Memorial Library, available for public use 24/7/365. It is a large green bin clearly labeled "Better World Books".
Please follow these rules for materials put into the Better World Book box. Placing items into the bin that are not accepted will result in the library being charged. If you have questions or a large volume of books (more than a 2 boxes) call during library open hours to ensure that the bin has room for the quantity of books. Do not place books you are returning to the library in this bin as we do not have access to the items in the bin and you will be charged to replace the items. The library book return bin is blue and located by our front door.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY BOOKS OUTSIDE THE BIN.
Items accepted in the bin:
- Books, including fiction, non-fiction, children's, text books (less than 10 years old) and rare books
- All books must be dry and free of mildew, pests, mold, or excessive dirt/dust.
- Please leave covers on and intact.
Items NOT accepted in the bin:
- Encyclopedias of any type
- Yearbooks or Annuals
- DVD's or Blue Ray discs
- CD's or Audiobooks
- Video Games
- Playaway's
- VHS tapes or Cassettes
- Reader's Digest books
- Law books
- Journals, Magazines, Periodicals
